This number falls into the 'unhealthy' category according to standard classifications, indicating that everyone may begin to experience health effects; members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

For instance, by 6:30 AM it had dropped to 122—a slight improvement—but still marked as unhealthy for sensitive groups like children and those with respiratory issues. As evening approached around 7 PM, it climbed back up to 149 before settling at an alarming level again later on.

The factors are multifaceted—industrial emissions from factories surrounding urban areas contribute significantly alongside vehicle pollution from heavy traffic on busy roads. Additionally, seasonal changes can exacerbate these conditions; during winter months especially when temperature inversions occur trapping pollutants close to ground level.

Recent research highlights efforts aimed at improving prediction models for AQI using advanced algorithms and data analytics techniques such as Deep Learning approaches combined with Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). These methods aim not only at accurately predicting future air quality levels but also assist policymakers in implementing effective strategies tailored towards reducing pollution sources across cities like Ahmedabad.
