Training on UL1642 Testing Standards

The UL1642 standard was first introduced by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in October 1985 as a safety regulation specifically for lithium batteries. It has undergone three revisions since its inception; the current effective version is from September 2005 (fourth edition). This standard is widely recognized internationally as an authoritative guideline assessing the safety and reliability of lithium batteries under various fault conditions such as temperature changes or unexpected external impacts during transport.

The document also includes preparation checklists for testing samples across multiple tests including short circuit tests at room temperature and elevated temperatures, overcharge tests, crush tests, impact tests among others with specific procedures outlined for each test type.
