In one particularly alarming case, a test account registered as an adult was able to solicit Snapchat information from a child account using language that was barely encrypted.

Similar discussions and actions have been seen in Australia and the US, with authorities questioning the platform's content moderation and age verification processes.
In response to these mounting pressures, Roblox has been implementing new technologies, such as an AI-powered facial age estimation system. While intended to enhance safety, this system has also faced its own set of challenges, including a higher-than-expected error rate and user concerns about data privacy. The company has stated that video data is deleted immediately after verification, but the rollout has led to significant changes in user communication capabilities, sometimes fracturing social networks as users are categorized into different age groups with varying chat permissions.
