Navigating Apex Rentals: Your Guide to Customer Service Hours and Support

When you're planning a trip and need to sort out your rental car, knowing when you can actually reach someone is pretty crucial, right? For Apex Rentals, if you're looking to get in touch with their customer service or make a booking, you'll want to keep their New Zealand Time (NZT) hours in mind. They're available Monday through to Sunday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

This means whether it's a weekday or a weekend, you've got a good window to call them up with any questions about reservations or other services. If you prefer to email, they have a couple of addresses handy: reservations@apexrentals.co.nz for booking queries and customerservice.newzealand@apexrentals.co.nz for general customer service needs.

Now, what happens if you're out on the road and run into a bit of trouble? Apex Rentals has you covered with a 24-hour roadside assistance program through the Automobile Association (AA). If you need them, you can call the AA directly on 0800 22 27 39 or +64 9 969 9747. Just be ready to provide your vehicle's registration number and their AA membership number, which is 728837. Should the AA not be able to help, you can then reach out to Apex Rentals on 0800 500 660 or +64 3 535 2315.

It's worth noting a couple of things about roadside assistance. If the AA needs to attend to a non-mechanical issue, like running out of petrol or locking your keys in the car, you might be charged directly by the AA unless you've opted for their extra roadside assistance cover. The same applies to flat tires if you can't change it yourself – you'll need to call the AA. For tire repairs or replacements, you'll be directed to a Firestone dealer, and Apex will be contacted before any work is done. Keep in mind that most tire damage repairs are usually the renter's responsibility, unless you have that additional cover.

And for those inevitable tolls, parking fines, or speeding tickets, remember that as the renter, you're responsible for any infringements incurred during your rental period. You'll need to pay any tolls within five days of using the road, which can be done online at www.tollroad.govt.nz or by calling 0800 40 20. If Apex receives notification of unpaid tolls, they will transfer the liability to you and charge an administration fee. It’s all about being aware and keeping those rental agreements in mind!
