Step 1: Open your web browser and enter 192.168.1.253 in the address bar, then press Enter to bring up the login window. The default username and password are both 'admin'. If you can't log in, check the manual or look for instructions on the back of the router for the password.
Step 2: If you cannot access 192.168.1.253, and if it's a wireless router, connect your phone to Wi-Fi first, then enter 192.168.1.253 in your mobile browser.
Step 3: Once you're on 192.168.1.253, click on 'Setup Wizard'. Then click 'Next', select 'Recommended' for internet connection type, and it will check your internet environment.
Step 4: Enter your broadband account username and password when prompted, then click 'Next'.
Step 5: Set up your Wi-Fi password next; after that, click 'Next' to complete setup and restart the router.
