The anticipation for EA Sports FC 26 is building, and for many, the real excitement kicks off not with the full game launch, but with the arrival of the Web App and Companion App. These handy tools are where the season truly begins for a lot of us, letting us get a head start on squad building and market trading.
So, when can you get your hands on them? EA has set the official launch for the EA FC 26 Web App for September 17th. While they haven't pinpointed an exact time, based on past years, we're generally looking at around 6 PM UK time. Shortly after, on September 18th, the EA FC 26 Companion App will become available. Good news for those of you who've been using the EA FC 25 app: you won't need to download a whole new application. A simple update to your existing app should do the trick.
It's also worth noting that the return of 'Welcome Back' rewards, which were a bit of a no-show previously, is something to look forward to. These can give your early game a nice boost.
For those who are really keen to get involved even earlier, there are a couple of other avenues. Playtesting sessions are typically held in June and July, offering a chance to get a feel for the game while it's still in development and provide crucial feedback. If you're selected, you'll be among the very first to experience the upcoming title, though it does come with a mandatory Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Then there's the Closed Beta, which usually opens up around August 8th. Getting into the Beta is quite a challenge, as it's limited to a small number of players who've signed up for EA emails and are selected to receive a code. This is a fantastic opportunity to test the game and help developers iron out any kinks before the wider release.
Now, about early access to the Web and Companion Apps themselves – it's a bit of a special privilege. To be eligible, you generally need to be a returning FC 25 player with an account in good standing, and you must have established your Ultimate Team club before August 1st, 2025. If you've switched platforms, faced bans, or had other account actions in FC 25, you might not be eligible for this early access. This early access is specifically for the Ultimate Team mode and allows you to trade, complete initial SBCs, and objectives, but you won't be able to play matches just yet.
Getting into the Web App is straightforward: head to the dedicated Web App page, log in with your EA credentials, answer your security question, and accept the user agreement. For the Companion App, you'll find it by searching for 'Football Club 26' in your mobile app store.
While the official worldwide launch for EA Sports FC 26 is set for September 26th, these app releases are the first real taste for many of us, letting us start building our dream teams and navigating the transfer market well before then.
