Ciro Immobile: The Journey of a Football Maestro

Ciro Immobile, born on February 20, 1990, in Naples, Italy, has carved out an impressive career as one of football's most prolific strikers. Standing at 1.84 meters and weighing around 78 kg, his physical presence on the pitch is complemented by a remarkable ability to find the back of the net.

His journey began in Sorrento's youth team before moving to Juventus' academy where he showcased his talent early on. His debut for Juventus came in March 2009; however, it was during loan spells at various clubs like Pescara and Torino that he truly flourished. At Pescara in the 2011-12 season, he won the Serie B Golden Boot with an astonishing tally of goals—28 to be exact—which set him up for greater things ahead.

In Torino during the following season (2013-14), Immobile continued his scoring spree by clinching another Golden Boot award after netting 22 goals. This success caught international attention and led him to Borussia Dortmund in Germany’s Bundesliga—a move that promised new challenges but didn’t quite pan out as expected due to limited playing time.

After a brief stint abroad, Ciro returned to Italy with Lazio where he found his rhythm again. Over several seasons with Lazio from 2016 onwards, he not only became their all-time leading scorer but also achieved individual accolades including multiple Serie A top scorer titles and even claimed the prestigious European Golden Shoe in the 2019-20 season when he scored an incredible total of 36 league goals.

Internationally, Immobile has represented Italy since making his senior debut against Spain in March 2014. He played a pivotal role in helping Italy secure victory at UEFA Euro 2020—a crowning achievement that solidified his status among elite players globally.

Now playing for Bologna since July 2025 after leaving Lazio behind him filled with memories both glorious and challenging, Immobilie continues to inspire fans across Europe with every matchday performance.
