At its heart, the story follows Sophie, a woman seeking a fresh start in the fictional town of Maple Brook after a personal tragedy. Her move with her husband, Graham, quickly pulls her into the orbit of Margo Banks and her exclusive circle, the "Hunting Wives." What begins as an allure of glamour and belonging soon unravels into something far more sinister. The discovery of a murdered teenage girl, Abby, in the very woods where the Hunting Wives gather, throws Sophie into a vortex of obsession, secrets, and the dark underbelly of this elite group.
The cast brings this complex narrative to life. Brittany Snow portrays Sophie, navigating her new life and her growing fascination with Margo, played by Malin Akerman.
